AHS BASKETBALL

Adair High School FCCLA members recently undertook an inspiring STAR Event project aimed at promoting kindness and preventing bullying among younger students. Members Addaline Spruell, Anna Lyons, and Trinity Kaiser visited Mrs. Heard’s 3rd-grade class to lead an engaging lesson on what bullying is, how to stand up to it safely, and the importance of treating others with respect.
As part of their project, the FCCLA members organized a poster contest to help students express what kindness and anti-bullying mean to them. The class demonstrated tremendous creativity, and after careful consideration, Mila Boswell's poster was selected as the winner.
This STAR Event project not only strengthened the FCCLA members’ leadership skills but also made a positive impact on our younger students. We are proud of their initiative and the example they’re setting within our school community.

Avery Adkins, Violet Crofford, Danyelle Teed, and Kenley Parker are four of our high school students who competed in the MidAMerica Cup this fall. This is an annual business plan and innovation competition for high school students. The program aims to foster entrepreneurial thinking and a local talent pipeline for businesses in their region.
These students have been working hard on this project all semester long. They developed a product, conducted market research, created financial projections, and presented their business plan to a panel of judges much like pitching to potential investors.
Winning teams receive cash prizes and recognition. This program helps lay the groundwork for the next generation of business leaders. We are so proud of them and looking forward to the competition for next year!
